Review

When the CPS 1-3-5, originally titled the Super Soaker Wipeout, was released, it was viewed as a replacement for the CPS 1700. As such, the online community was greatly upset, as the 1-3-5 pales in raw power, range, and output to the 1700. In retrospect, although the 1-3-5 is the same size as the 1700, it serves a completely different function, being a good choice for soakfests.

It makes a good compliment to high powered guns with low shot times. However, when it comes to elimination and score based games, this gun is not very useful. The 5 nozzles (lightly pull the trigger to fire the center nozzle, pull more to fire the center 3, pull all the way to fire all 5) are completely useless.

Output ShotTime Range Taps/Tank
1nozzle 1.2oz/sec 23 secs 35 ft 453
3 3.1 9 35 ft 175
5 5 5.6 32 ft 109

If you have multiple opponents within 35 ft of you in an elimination game, you are about to get killed. The range on this gun is definitely sub par for a CPS. It’s a shame when you have a gun this size and you have mid sized air pressure guns shoot further. The 25 second shot time is rather impressive, but it takes a pathetic 29 pumps to pressurize. The CPS 2700 and CPS 4100 do it better by having 2.5x nozzles. There is absolutely no reason for any gun this size to have a 1x nozzle and I highly recommend doing a nozzle drill on the center nozzle. I also recommend doing a pump reinforcement mod.
