What I love about the Splashzooka is that it’s so straight forward. It’s QFD only and has only one nozzle, but what it does it does well. Sometimes simplicity should be celebrated. The nozzle is fairly comparable to that of an XP 150’s, but with an extra meter of range. That’s certainly enough to get the job done in most ’round the yard fights. I also think the Zook makes a good sidearm, even when you’re not in range of a QFD. Just sling it over your shoulder and use it for fighting or refilling.
The Zook is the simplest of Super Soaker’s QFD only guns. It’s pretty sturdy, both inside and out. I just wouldn’t drop it from somewhere high up. The most important thing you can do to keep your Zook in good condition is to make sure you empty the pressure chamber after every use, and even sometimes when you haven’t used it in a while. The Splashzooka uses a wider rubber bladder than standard CPS guns and so there’s more dead space and therefore more left over water.
