One of the most powerful, if not ugliest pistols to date, the Max D 3000 is a fairly good choice for pistol only rounds. The power and stream lamination are superior to most other Super Soakers its size and comes close to matching most Water Warriors pistols.
I find the design annoying as well as ugly. The shape of the gun makes it difficult to fit in a holster, and larger hands may find the pistol grip a bit small. Externally, the blaster is very solid and can take a beating. Internally, I’m not so sure. The Max D 3000 uses a Max D style ball valve and Super Soaker has been known to cheap out on quality parts inside Max D guns. I know a few people whose 3000s broke in this manner, but it was not on the same scale of 5000 or 6000 failure. This could be because smaller blasters don’t see as much use, but either way, don’t go around pulling the trigger just because. Be careful.
