Field Life

It wasn’t until Frozen Fury that I realized how awesome this gun is. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I still think it’s ugly, like some kind of alien-robot hybrid progeny, but man is it underrated. The range is the best of any Super Soaker its size and the best of any Super Soaker that uses pressurized reservoir technology. The power and output is still less than that of the XP 55, 65, or 75, but it does outshoot them.

My opinion of the MD 4000 is not all positive, however. The pistol grip is so cramped that I can only fit 4 fingers in the trigger well. I have to leave my pinky sticking out. The other, possibly worse, problem is the ball valve which can become worn out or break with repeated use. There aren’t as many reports about 4000s breaking as there are about 5000s and 6000s breaking, but I have to wonder if that’s only because 5000s and 6000s get used more. I’m not sure, but never the less, don’t go around firing your 4000 without reason, they are known to break with repeated use.
